Over the past four days we've been traveling! The pups went to the sitter and husband and I went to London! Though we've been before, we excited to be back! London is such a great town!
Night 1
We arrived in London to our hotel very late on Sunday night. By the time we got settled it was near 11pm and we hadn't had dinner yet. Since the tube stops running very early, we decided to try to find something to locally. This was a mistake! Everything closes so early on Sundays! So we settled for a cool atmosphere and cold cocktails. Luckily enough we were so tired it wasn't too tough to fall asleep hungry!
Day 2
Up and at them bright and early! We had a traditional English breakfast in our hotel and we were off to the
Adamina Spa for massages. It was such a beautiful and relaxing experience. A perfect way to start a trip. Following the spa we made a beeline for Chipotle! James hadn't had it in over a year and it's been about 5 months for me. It was just as good as we remembered! The rest of the day we strolled about the cold city, shopping, talking and stopping at pubs! We went back to the room for a rest. And hit up a British pub for football, fish and chips and fun!
Day 3
Woke up early again today to head out to the downtown farmers market called the Borough Market. It's comprised with hundreds of shops and restaurants. Though it was cold, being an open air market, it was still rather impressive. We stopped at the Cafe Brood for another traditional English breaky! So good! After the market we headed to the British Museum. A very impressive, large museum housing the famous Rosetta Stone. After the museum we headed to where else, Chipotle for lunch! Had a little rest then off to Maxwell's for dinner and the Lyceum Theatre for The Lion King! Though I'd scene it before, I was still moved by the performance and was very happy that James enjoyed it too! It was early to bed that night as we had an early bus to catch!
Day 4
Up at 4am to catch our bus to Stansted airport! So early, but we were ready to get home. An easy flight and we were back in Stuttgart. We ran our errands and picked up the pups, who had an awesome time with Johnny! The rest of the day was spent cuddled on the couch trying to stay warm in these frigid temperatures!
The trip was lovely, it was great to get away, but there's no place like home!
